Poor Mrs Twiddle has to put up with more trouble caused by Mr Twiddle's silliness and forgetfulness.
Whether he has sold his boots, instead of having them soled; has put his hat in the bin and the old fish in the wardrobe; or let a burglar steal from their bedroom as he believes it is the cat, Mr Twiddle's attempts to be useful only have the opposite effect.
