Ravana: A devotee of Shiva, who does not quench his anger, considered that the child drank its mother’s milk - because that milk was mixed with Shiva’s property - decided that the child must also be killed. He picked up the child and threw it up, and when it fell down, he swung the sword in between and cut the child in two, mercilessly. Due to devotion, this merciless man is no monster – but oh! Kambare! I am the monster. What will he say if asked? Devotion... That’s why I did it. He said that he killed in the name of Bhakti – Whatever maybe the reason - murder happened - Was there mercy? At least a drop! When the women lamented? When the pink-faced infant screamed? - Was there? – Did you show mercy, Kodupuli, did you show mercy? The merciless murderer is a Nayanar – a sage – a cruel murderer! Dronacharya who received a thumb as an offertory- Parashuraman who beheaded his mother’s head - Vishvamithra who dared to mercilessly abandon the child he had given birth to and the lover to whom he had devoted his love - All these people are ascetics - Rishis - those who have received the grace of Almighty – But Lord of justice! I am a demon - and who are these people? - These are the moralists of this court who gather to interrogate me. Is this where these merciless people should be? Lord of Justice! They should be in this criminal cage! Are these people who do not believe in virtue and love, the guardians of morality?
