The book is a humble attempt to present the life and contributions of a few composers in Carnatic music of the past centuries who created works of much musical merit. Their compositions have contributed much to Carnatic music and its riches.
However, not all of them were fortunate enough to be remembered and commemorated after they left. Their creditable compositions were unjustly forgotten, and their work struggles to remain in public memory.
Their compositions fell off the music map. Well, almost.
All these forgotten compositions and their creators are worth rediscovering, and their music is worth celebrating.
This will not only be the best tribute to each of them but also enrich the music world.
